Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Supplemental Utility Arborist. This role supports Integrated Vegetation Management Program by monitoring contract tree crews performing routine maintenance along utility rights-of-way. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forestry or a related field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and interact with contract tree crews performing vegetation maintenance on Client rights-of-way.

- Conduct daily field inspections, often working alone and traveling between job sites.

- Communicate effectively with both internal and external Client customers.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and vegetation management protocols.

- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigate uneven terrain.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, Environmental Sciences, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.

- Prior experience in utility-based vegetation management is a plus.

- Familiarity with local vegetation and ability to identify regional trees and plants is highly desirable.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Ability to self-manage time, tasks, and deadlines effectively.

- Client Certified Pesticide Applicator and ISA Certified Arborist is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

- Must be comfortable working independently for extended periods.

- Must be physically capable of walking reasonable distances in field conditions.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
