Job Overview:

The purpose of this position is to manage the daily Omega Partners Joliet

LLC’s truck loading activities.

Truck Loading Technician Responsibilities:

- Load bulk liquid chemical tank trucks. Transfer various non- hazardous and hazardous products according to documented operating procedures. May be responsible for simultaneously loading up to seven tank trucks at once.

- Accurately complete required paperwork to document the loading process.

- Sample product after each compartment is loaded for lab analysis.

Will also be required to sample incoming truck deliveries.

- Manage waste drums in the truck loading area. Handle hazardous waste through documented waste disposal procedures. Empty truck loading drip pans to appropriate waste drums and cleaning up of incidental spills.

- Complete Preventative Maintenance procedures on equipment in the truck loading area (high level probes, ground detectors, etc.).

- Complete all required training documentation in a timely fashion.

- Maintain a safe working environment and promote continuous improvement to the facility and processes.

- Perform retain sample recycling and waste disposal in the lab.

- Maintain housekeeping in the truck loading area.

Overall skills and requirements

- Must be physically fit to perform duties, including lifting, climbing, and working in prone positions.

- Position requires outdoor work for extended periods of time during inclement weather.

- Must be medically approved to wear a respirator.

- Job requires participation in a rotating shift schedule working either an 8 hour morning or afternoon shift.

Education and Experience

- High School Graduate or equivalent

- Prior chemical handling or terminal experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
