Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering/picking up empty/loaded lugger and rolloff bins safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, integrity of our company and a focus on customer satisfaction.

Duties

- Operate commercial trucks with manual transmission through out the Okanagan

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.

- Securing all loads with straps

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance

- Communicate clearly, calmly and effectively with manager, dispatchers and customers regarding any potential issues.

- Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.

Qualifications

- Valid Class 3 commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.

- Experience in commercial driving

- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines safely

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
