Join our dynamic transportation team as a Truck Driver and become a vital part of delivering essential freight across diverse routes! In this energetic role, you will operate various types of trucks—including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks—to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods. - Safely operate a variety of trucks including manual transmission vehicles, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Plan and follow optimal routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
- Secure freight properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or issues encountered on the route.
- Assist with special freight handling requirements such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials when qualified.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Skilled in operating various truck types including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely.
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools for efficient deliveries.
- Experience with load & unload procedures for different freight types.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation.
- Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients.
