Leads and supports the facilitation and management of the strategy and oversight for construction planning, collaboration, constructability, schedule forecasting, coordinating permits, studies, and overall construction flow of large transmission development projects. Implement best-in-class controls to ensure construction continues uninterrupted by managing and collaborating across various teams including but not limited to engineers, contractors, internal stake holders such as permitting & environmental team to ensure that the projects meet the schedule requirements for timely project execution.
Supports and coordinates the projects permit process from beginning to end:
Facilitate and support constructability reviews with contractors to ensure the viability and validity of look ahead schedules Perform regular auditing of construction look ahead schedules, constructability reviews, permitting schedules, project specific studies, risks, and mitigation plans to ensure look ahead schedules are realistic, all required approvals from internal and external stakeholders including environmental studies and all required permits are received on time for project success and timeliness.
Sets and manages project expectations with senior leadership, team members and other stakeholders. Creates, manages, and presents construction look ahead schedule feasibility dashboard account for estimated construction productivities, environmental studies, permitting progress/approvals, contractor constructability inputs to summarize progress and identify risks.
Assists in complex negotiations with Federal, State, regional and local governments and private parties as needed to ensure successful outcomes. Manage changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans.
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to position and company
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, construction management or a related field and 10 or more years of related experience.
Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 15 years of related work experience.
General office environment. No special physical demands are required. Occasional travel required.
