Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic flow at construction sites. This position requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operations and construction site protocols, making it essential for maintaining a secure working environment.

Duties

- Direct and control traffic around construction sites to ensure the safety of workers and the public.

- Operate various types of heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, backhoes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and graders.

- Assist in paving operations and utility locating tasks as needed.

- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate site activities effectively.

- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding traffic patterns and site conditions.

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols on-site.

- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred, including but not limited to dozer, loader, backhoe, front loader truck, dump truck, grader operation, and paving experience.

- Familiarity with construction site practices and utility locating is highly desirable.

- Previous experience in a traffic control or similar role is an advantage.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining focus on safety protocols.

- Strong communication skills to relay instructions clearly to both team members and the public.
