DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Vibration Analysis: Utilize advanced tools and techniques to perform vibration analysis on rotating machinery, identifying irregularities and potential failures in the early stages.
•Thermography: Conduct thermographic inspections to detect abnormal temperature patterns in electrical and mechanical systems, pinpointing areas of concern and ensuring proper functioning of equipment.
•Leak Detection: Employ state-of-the-art methods to detect leaks in pipes, valves, and other components, ensuring the integrity of the plant's systems and preventing environmental hazards.
•Oil Condition Analysis: Perform analysis of oil samples to assess the condition of lubricants and hydraulic fluids, ensuring optimal performance of machinery and identifying signs of wear or contamination.
•Root Cause Analysis: Investigate equipment failures and incidents to determine the underlying causes, employing analytical skills to develop effective solutions and prevent recurrence.
•Reporting: Prepare detailed and accurate reports summarizing findings, analysis results, and recommended actions. Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders and collaborate with maintenance teams for timely resolution.
•Observe, record, and evaluate system conditions, maintain, and keep asset management fully informed of unusual conditions.
•Initiates requests for equipment repair.
•Monitors plant operations by observing plant equipment, indicating instruments, annunciators, computers, and communications equipment.
•Read P&ID’s and use facility operating procedures and equipment technical manuals to maintain and repair facility equipment and ensure equipment is operated within operating range.
•Fully support the use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by displaying a proficiency in using the system and dedication to the facility maintenance philosophy.
•Read, understand, and comply with all regulatory procedures and facility safety. Take on specific tasks/responsibilities assigned in these areas.
•Work regular scheduled hours, overtime, or irregular hours as needed to support reliable operation of the facility.
•Fully support and actively participate in GRDA Safety and Regulatory Compliance Programs.
•Creates, organizes, and maintains records.
•Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•Must have valid state driver’s license.
•HS diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field is desirable.
•Strong technical skills.
•Minimum of three (3) years of power plant or equivalent large industrial technical experience.
•Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Must have a level 1 certification in thermography or vibration analysis, or the ability to achieve within one (1) year.
•Must have had oil sample analysis training.
•Must demonstrate proficiency with facility’s CMMS.
•Must have OSHA 10 Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
•Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, arc flash rated clothing etc.).
•Work outside in all types of weather conditions.
•May be required to work at heights up to and exceeding thirty (30) feet, underground and in confined spaces.
•Must possess mental, visual, and auditory acuity for attention to visual and auditory detail. Manual dexterity is required for operation of test equipment, small tools, and the installation, adjustment, and repair of control devices.
•Must be able to stand and walk on cement floors, uneven ground, slippery surfaces, and open grating.
•Must be able to climb extending ladders, restricted overhead clearance ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and various other elevated equipment.
•Must be able to carry and operate a fire extinguisher, escape an emergency by running.
•Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor level, and push/pull heavy objects while standing, crouching, and in bent posture.
•Must be able to utilize a computer for communications, file storage and retrieval and data analysis.
•Must be able to regular scheduled shift and extended hours and be available for emergency callouts as necessary.
JOB LOCATION
•This job reports to Grand River Energy Center (GREC), Chouteau, Oklahoma. Position will require travel to hydro facilities and other GRDA asset locations as needed.
Position will be filled commensurate with applicants' skill and experience level.
