About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Your Impact
Our Health and Safety team is now recruiting for the position of Team Lead, Health, Medical and RTW (Return to work) with a competitive annual base salary between
$103,300–$137,700 CAD, with an additional short-term incentive. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.
Supervise the return to work and medical services team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, compliance with health standards, return to work management processes, and alignment with organizational health and hygiene objectives. Brucejack is a FIFO operation, but this position will be
working from home, Monday-Friday, 9 AM -5 PM PST.As part of our team you will
- Support the development of health and medical services program, including return to work management.
- Monitor health metrics and trends, assessing areas for intervention and improvement, and ensure timely report of metrics to internal systems and regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with internal team members to implement health programs and initiatives aligned with workplace safety and wellness objectives.
- Provide mentorship and supervision to team members on medical process and programs.
- Liaise with external health providers and partners to ensure the effective delivery of medical services.
- Critically analyze situations and provide primary and alternative pathway recommendations
- Assist with health risk assessments and mitigation strategies in coordination with the Lead Health and Hygiene.
- Implement health awareness and training programs for employees to enhance workplace health outcomes.
- Collate and provide health performance reports and insights to the Lead Health and Hygiene.
- Attend routine meetings of functional units to deliver and explain program process and answer questions from frontline supervisor and workforce. .
- Ensure timely escalation of issues to Lead Health and Hygiene.
- Provide guidance and assist team members in the management of workplace injury and illness according to organizational processes.
- Any other job duties as assigned within reason of the role
- Critically research, and evaluate solutions to problems to offer both short and long term recommendations
- Ability to apply key principles across similar scenarios, and critically evaluate similarities and differences between scenarios to determine best path forward.
- Improve working methods using day-to-day experiences, procedures, observations of pattern of events, and trial and error
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in occupational health, rehabilitation, or a related field
- Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology, Kinesiology, Sport Rehabilitation, or Nursing (required)
- Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Occupational Health Nurse certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of British Columbia Workers Compensation Board (WCB) processes and reporting requirements (asset)
- Strong understanding of occupational health principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Projects)
- Familiarity with WCB reporting software for injury submission and follow-up
- Experience with Cority software (asset)

The expected salary range for this role is CA$103,300-137,700 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
