About the role
Ready to lead where it counts? Orica is seeking a seasoned Site Supervisor –Underground to take charge of site operations, drive safety excellence, and deliver top-tier blasting services in a demanding underground mining environment. This role is based in Oyu Tolgoi.
As Site Supervisor, you'll oversee Orica teams, plant operations, and ancillary equipment to ensure seamless execution of contract deliverables while upholding industry-leading safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.

What you will be doing
•Support the Area Manager with data-driven insights to improve site efficiency and reduce operational costs.
•Participate in short-, medium-, and long-term planning activities to align site operations with strategic goals.
•Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations and complete safety meetings and compliance reports, including the annual Letter of Assurance.
•Audit and inspect site processes to ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and company standards.
•Oversee employee training plans, document progress, and mentor staff to achieve their full potential.
•Maintain high standards in housekeeping, record-keeping, and preventative maintenance across the site.
•Assist in budgeting, resource modeling, and identifying staffing and equipment needs for optimal operations.
•Manage inventory levels and daily scheduling to meet customer demands while improving site profitability and product rotation.
What you will bring
•Proven experience working in underground mining operations—preferably in supervisory or leadership roles
•Strong understanding of underground blasting services, plant management, and technical execution
•Commitment to safety culture and knowledge of SHES and quality frameworks
•Excellent team management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
