Summary:

In ADDITION TO leading, coaching and mentoring individuals to perform tasks associated with building haul truck bodies, the individual must have the drive to succeed, confidence to make sound decisions, be Safety minded and treat people with dignity and respect. Individuals must be willing to be at work as scheduled. As needed the individual will need to work with their team on projects and guide them to success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs all work for which the individual was classified previously as specified in the applicable job description.

Must be able to plan forward and have parts staged for employees to eliminate downtime or standby time. Critical thinking and planning skills are a must.

Obtains information and guidance from Supervisor regarding job assignments and production objectives for the day via written or verbal instruction.

At the direction of the Supervisor, assists in the assignment and/or coordination of the work of a designated group of workers during the shift.

Monitors workers and production output, facilitates communications and provides problem-solving assistance to workers regarding workflow, design problems, materials, equipment, safety and personnel issues.

Ensures continuation of production in the absence of a supervisor.

Tests machine operations, set ups, or other equipment.

Assists in completion of paperwork as needed by Supervisor, including but not limited to: Incident and near miss reports, Production Reports, Maintenance Work Requests, Material Issue Tickets, daily updates individual timesheets in Visual.

Instructs and trains employees in the proper and safe use of equipment.

Facilitates interpretation of directions, prints, procedures and policies to co-workers.

Always comply with all applicable safety guidelines. Corrects any hazards in work areas and informs Supervisors of their finding and remedies. Provides guidance to coworker(s) to avoid personal injury or damage to equipment.

Complies with and enforces all company policies.

Other Duties:

Maintains work area in a clean and organized manner to minimize fire, tripping, and other safety hazards.

Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job performed in environmental conditions applicable to the location of the work site.

Performs related work as required.
