The Stakeholder Engagement Specialist is responsible for managing Greenville Water's digital presence and leading the planning and execution of both internal and external events. This position supports strategic communications and engagement through social media, multimedia content, and public outreach while helping to create memorable, mission-aligned events that connect with customers, community partners, and employees.

- Create, curate, and publish compelling digital content that highlights Greenville Water's mission, services, and community impact.
- Manage daily activities across all social media platforms, including content scheduling, audience engagement, and performance analysis.
- Produce and edit video, photo, and creative assets for use across digital and traditional communication channels.
- Serves as coordinator for on-site community engagement with local and nonprofit organizations
- Works with Human Resources to enhance our Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program, "Pour It Forward," through scheduling, staffing, and internal advertising.
- Develop and implement internal communications that foster employee engagement and strengthen organizational culture.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events such as community festivals, sponsorships, facility tours, internal celebrations, and public meetings.
- Support media relations efforts and provide event-day coordination, including photography, signage, materials preparation, and post-event follow-up.
- Maintain updated event calendars, promotional materials, and internal planning resources.
- Identify new opportunities, tools, and approaches to enhance digital, internal, and community engagement efforts.
A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, event management or a related field supplemented by two years (2) years in social medial management and event planning (internship experience may be considered). Strong understanding of current digital trends and content strategy. Experience using platforms such as Canva, Constant Contact, Meta Business Suite, etc. Proven track record in a fast-paced environment in public information, media relations, or corporate communications; or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work some evenings and weekends for community and public events.
