The Shot Peening Technician is primarily responsible for performing shot peening operations on various parts and drilling tools, generating the necessary reports and documentation. The technician will also provide crucial support to Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspectors by prepping tools and assisting with general shop duties. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring all work meets company and client standards for quality and safety.
- Perform shot peening on a variety of parts and drilling tools as per job specifications and safety protocols.
- Follow all company and customer-specific procedures and guidelines meticulously.
- Complete all necessary reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Operate and maintain all company-owned equipment appropriately and responsibly.
- Assist inspectors in preparing parts for inspection, following Logic NDT Solutions Ltd. SOP’s including but not limited to Washing, buffing, ragging, pre inspection and post inspection.
- Follow all safety requirements of Logic NDT Solutions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Assist with general shop tasks as needed to support overall team operations.
- Familiarity with shot peening processes and equipment is highly preferred.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Forklift and Crane experience and certification
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Mechanically inclined with experience using various power tools.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully, consistent with Logic NDT standards, while meeting productivity requirements.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with LOGIC standards
- Ability to communicate clearly to staff and customers.
- Ability to work under pressure, think clearly and act decisively.
