JOB TITLE: Shot Blast Operator

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Newberry TanksEquipment is a fast paced, growing business based in West Memphis, Arkansas. We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our team. A successful candidate will efficiently and effectively:

- Operate shot blast equipment to prepare steel tanks to receive paint and coatings.

- Use quality control tools and gauges to ensure product meets specifications

- Operate forklift to move and load tank products for shipping

- Perform basic maintenance and inspection of equipment

- Keep work area in clean and orderly condition free of hazards

- Request materials and supplies as needed

- Adhere to all quality and safety codes

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of three years of successful continuous employment in a commercial or industrial setting

EDUCATION:

- High School diploma/GED required

- Simple reading and arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of whole numbers and decimals

- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations for industrial plantequipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Moderate physical effort; requires standing for entire shift

- Able to lift up to 60 lbs. throughout the day

- Good eye and hand coordination

- Visual acuity in order to perform tasks successfully

- Able to climb, stoop, bend to move from forklift and perform various outside activities throughout yard
