Shop Lead

The Shop Lead position requires hands-on oversight of the tank refurbishing process that includes the handling (Unloading, loading, and general movements) and refurbishing of tanks at the Marietta facilities.

Responsibilities

- Initiate and update written procedures that promote the efficiency and safety of the tank refurbishing process.

- Manage the tank refurbishing process ensuring work is being completed timely, safely, and with high quality, according to procedures.

- Supports all tank movements and crane operations.

- Ensures accurate and consistent filing of process documentation as required.

- Provides consistent progress updates to management.

- Schedules regular equipment repair and maintenance on consistent intervals and in accordance with budgetary considerations.

- Supervises staff, directing activities, training new employees, providing coaching, promoting safety and quality, and conducting 90-day and annual performance reviews.

- Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

- Maintain a positive and professional work environment to collaborate with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.

Requirements

- A background in propane or related construction activities.

- Basic Knowledge of propane and related equipment.

- Completed basic CETP (Certified Employee Training Program) or equivalent propane industry training.

- Ability to work independently in the field as well as part of a team.

- Valid driver’s license (if driver).

- Associates degree in related discipline or 5 years of experience in facilities or warehouse management.
