The Manufacturing Assembler performs electrical work and mechanical assembly on product lines and assists with all types of assembly work to meet production and quality goals.
This is a contract role for a large company project, expected to last through December 2026.
- Performs various assembly tasks on product lines.
- Use of electrical and mechanical assembly tools including torque wrenches, crimpers, painting, cutting, grinding tools, etc.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions.
- Ability to read and follow assembly drawings.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
- Follows quality guidelines and practices.
- Follows safety guidelines and practices.
- Participates in and satisfactorily completes all required training related to job.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational job training preferred.
- Prior work experience in industrial manufacturing environment (e.g., includes facilities that manufacture heavy construction equipment, turbines & generators, transformers or related industries) preferred.
- 3+ years’ assembly experience preferred. - 3+ years’ experience using electrical and mechanical assembly tools including torque wrenches, crimpers, painting, cutting, grinding tools preferred.- Ability to understand basic assembly drawings.
- Ability to follow quality guidelines and practices.
- Ability to work safely, including but not limited to following basic electrical safety precautions, following basic tool safety precautions and OSHA standards for protective equipment.
- Ability and willingness to work OT and weekends as directed.
- Works well with the team on very diverse and ever changing set of assembly tasks.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts and high voltage electricity.
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
- Occasional movement: lifting, climbing, kneeling, pulling, bending, etc.
- Ability to work on top of containers using proper safety harnesses.
- Ability to lift items up to 70 lbs. in weight on a regular basis.
- Standing for a minimum of 6 hours daily.
- 5x8
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
