We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Assembler to join our team and help us build products safely, efficiently, and with precision. The Sheet Metal Assembler is responsible for assembling the structural components of our products according to technical drawings and specifications. This role involves installing doors, covers, hinges, latches, gaskets, and other hardware, ensuring proper alignment and quality. The assembler works closely with the Foreman and other Assemblers to keep production on schedule, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and identify any issues that could impact quality or timelines. Schedule: Monday to Friday 6am to 5pm | must be available to work some Saturdays
- Read and interpret drawings, cut sheets, and part lists to assemble components accurately.
- Assemble, align, and install doors, covers, hinges, latches, gaskets, and other components per specifications.
- Ensure necessary materials, hardware, and shop supplies are available to maintain seamless production.
- Apply knowledge of NEMA ratings and material properties to meet project requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Identify, document, and report any engineering or fabrication issues that could impact quality or schedules.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and quality enhancements.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2–5 years in fabrication or manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools (air impact, ratchet, wrenches, sockets, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated, able to identify and resolve issues independently.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for lifting, carrying, and assembling parts.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Work may involve high heat, humidity, mechanical hazards, electrical exposure, or chemicals.
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
