Dominion Energy’s IT Generation team is seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst with strong analytical and technical skills. Ability to focus attention on details to provide support for DE’s Power Generation, Project Construction, Renewable Natural Gas, and Fuels business areas. Through research and analysis develops new or modifies existing complex information systems. Prepares detailed software specifications from which systems are developed or modified. Mentors less experienced team members on software development best practices. The successful candidate will be assigned part of projects to develop and implement systems, provide support for business projects and software system upgrades, and provide maintenance support of existing systems. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional understanding of the System Analyst skill set and toolset and have a solid understanding of modern computing technologies. The ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, presentation) with internal business partners, IT personnel, and external service providers is critical to success in this role. The successful candidate will help to develop new and innovative processes to automate and reduce workload and add value to the business areas we support as well as IT. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to lead on projects as needed.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Act as a consultant to our internal business partners regarding technology and process solutions.
5-6+ years of relevant experience in directly related field.
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
Disciplines Preferred: Business, Economics, Information Systems, Technology disciplines, Mathematics, Engineering
