Summary:
Come join our team! Indeck Energy, a leader in the development and operation of renewable and conventional power generation, as well as a bio-fuel pellet facility, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting and analysis for a wood pellet plant in Ladysmith WI. This position will be based in our corporate office in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
- Oversee ERP (Navision) production accounting, including budgeting with product manufacturing models.
- Prepare and review inventory analysis and valuation reports on a monthly basis.
- Reviewing production orders and manufacturing reports.
- Responsible for general ledger entries, plant financial statements, bank reconciliations.
- Oversee plant related A/R, A/P, and EDI processing.
- Work with plant personnel on monthly inventories, including coordinating drone flights and Stockpile Reports.
- Assist with operational cost model and SKU-level analysis initiatives with plant manager.
- Work directly with operations and site teams on inventory related initiatives.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Support the year-end financial audit process by working closely with external auditors and assist with plant regulatory compliance reporting.
- Work cross functionally with company departments and external partners on key operational projects, cost accounting and reporting requirements.
- Responsible for the implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Ability to travel 10% to Ladysmith, Wisconsin
- This is an onsite position. Must be able to come into the office M-F, 8 am to 5 pm.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, CMA or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years accounting experience with demonstrated experience in manufacturing cost accounting and analysis.- Strong leadership presence and ability to influence decisions and work together across all levels of leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to coordinate, communicate & lead discussions with plant personnel.
- Strong business knowledge with demonstrated exposure with operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables and Lookup Functions) and MS Office required.
- Strong interpersonal skills - Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Responsible, dependable, and possessing an exceptional work ethic.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
