Summary of Position
: The Senior Estimator / Project Manager will lead the development of job estimates and proposals for pipeline services, including hydrotesting, cleaning, nitrogen services and related field work. While direct experience in hydrotesting or pipeline cleaning is ideal, we welcome candidates with a strong foundation in industrial services, mechanical systems, or project estimation who are eager to learn and grow in this specialized space.
This position requires a balance of analytical skills, operational understanding, and clear communication. You’ll play a key role in turning customer RFQs into accurate, competitive bids and help shape the way we deliver and price our work.
Responsibilities-
Project Planning & Execution
•Lead the planning and execution of both online and offline piping testing projects.
•Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, and resource plans, ensuring alignment with client specifications and timelines.
•Submit finalized project schedules and deliverables to clients for approval.
Estimating & Proposal Development
•Review and analyze RFQs to fully understand client requirements and project scope.
•Collaborate with internal teams to prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and pricing strategies.
•Work directly with clients during the estimating phase to clarify scope, propose value- added solutions, and secure project awards.
Client Relationship Management
•Serve as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the entire project lifecycle.
•Foster strong relationships with clients during both the estimating and execution phases.
•Ensure clear, consistent communication regarding project status, changes, risks, and deliverables.
Financial Oversight & Change Management
•Monitor and control project costs, budgets, and financial performance from start to finish.
•Track expenditures and labor, identify variances, and take corrective action as needed.
•Prepare and manage change orders in collaboration with both internal stakeholders and the client.
Pre-Job & Close-Out Activities
•Conduct internal pre-job planning meetings (kick-offs) to align the operations, safety, and logistics teams.
•Lead close-out meetings to review project performance, financial results, and opportunities for improvement.
Team & Field Coordination
•Coordinate daily activities with field crews, operations, engineering, and safety teams.
•Support field execution with technical guidance, resource planning, and problem resolution.
Technical Oversight
•Apply knowledge of online separation, filtration, flaring, nitrogen services, and piping systems to project planning and execution.
•Support the development of technical execution strategies in coordination with field leadership and engineering.
Compliance & Safety
•Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and client safety requirements.
•Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations as required.
Required Skills
•5+ years of experience in estimating, project engineering, or operations within industrial services, mechanical contracting, or energy sectors.
•Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, job specs, and scopes of work.
•High attention to detail and strong numerical / analytical skills.
•Excellent communication and coordination skills across functions and roles.
•Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn internal estimating or cost tracking systems.
•Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Preferred but Not Required
•Familiarity with pipeline systems, hydrotesting, cleaning, or industrial field services.
•Field experience in construction, maintenance, mechanical systems, or energy operations.
•Exposure to DOT / API / PHMSA standards.
•Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
