We provide critical instrumentation services to industries around the world, ensuring high-quality products and solutions. We are currently seeking a Senior CNC Machinist to join our team in Fultonville, NY.
As a Senior CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathe/VMC machining centers, manual machines, and measuring equipment. You will ensure the efficient production of high-quality parts while adhering to specifications and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, a solid understanding of machining techniques, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathe/VMC machining centers, manual machines (lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinders), and measuring equipment.
- Convert designs and drawings into CNC code, ensuring programs meet established specifications.
- Determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations from blueprints, sketches, or damaged parts.
- Inspect parts, tooling, and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and monitor machine performance to ensure proper functioning.
- Work from drafts to create replacement parts, tooling, and prototypes.
- Set production standards for set-up and operating times and ensure deadlines are met.- 3+ years of machining experience, with the ability to set up and operate CNC lathes and VMC machines.
- Expertise in machining practices, tooling, drafting, CNC programming, and measuring techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot CNC operating/programming issues.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and mid-level math proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
- A degree in Machining/Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move around the work area.
