Cuts material on saws, maintaining work order tolerances and specifications

Principal Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Ability to use measurement tools; knowledge of saw concepts, practices and procedures; ability to read and understand work orders, tolerances and specifications; ability to set up machines, blades, stops or feeding devices, and flow of coolant against cutting area; ability to properly load material on saws using forklifts or other moving equipment; knowledge of changing blades on saws as needed; cleans saws at the end of shift; adheres to personal and facility safety procedures and practices. Other duties as required.

Lead saw operator will assist all operators with saw operations.

Qualifications Qualifications & Skills:

Must be able to read and understand work orders and cutting instructions, both written and on computer program.

Must have knowledge of saws, blades, guards, feeding devices and coolant flow.

Must be able to communicate, verbally and written, with managers and coworkers.

Must maintain quality practices and safety standards.

Must be forklift operations and safety certified.

Must be able to work overtime as required.
