- Ensure safe work systems/procedures are always practised and adhered to ensuring duties are performed in a manner that minimises risk to self, employees, and contractors.

- Always maintain exemplary standard of housekeeping, safe work, incident/accident reporting & active involvement in safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.

- Abide by and proactively comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems, as well as all relevant legislation.

- Understand and familiarise oneself with site Emergency evacuation procedures.

- Ensure good, clear lines of communication between all stakeholders, including the Site Management team, co-workers, and contractors

Knowledge / Skills / Duties

- Perform pre-operational and post-operational checks

- Operate machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output

- Safely and efficiently maintain stockpiles, dumps, ditches, haul roads the main haulage ramps to ensure flow

- Ensure that all spillage is cleaned up and graded to an area where a scooper or loader can remove it

- Operate, drive and move material as directed to prepare operating tunnels, areas and roads

- Lock-out and tag out as per regulatory bodies and company policy

- Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals – both within own department and site wide.

- Leverage of the talent and knowledge within the team to resolve problems.

- Follow instructions as per SOPs, guidelines and those provided by the shift supervisor

Planning & Organisation

- Prioritise and complete tasks accurately as to specifications as assigned by direct supervisor within required timeframes.

- Proactively identify and address hazards before they arise as issues.

- Be punctual to work and all required site meetings.
