This position is part of the installation team responsible to support the highest quality installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage systems for our clients.
This position includes, but is not limited to, travelling and working with our solar PV installation teams in both residential and commercial settings. Individuals in this position will not participate in the ReVision Energy Electrical Apprenticeship Program (REEAP), and this role is not part of a pathway to electrical licensure.
Roles and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Assist the Lead Installer/Project Manager with quality solar electric installations by doing non-electrical roof work preparing for the solar installation.
- Assist with project loading to ensure all necessary materials and tools arrive on the job site.
- Assist with overall crew and job site safety.
- Help maintain tools and trucks in excellent condition.
- Assist with general site preparation and clean up.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must have a clean and valid driver’s record
- Must have excellent customer service skills in every interaction.
- Effectively coordinate and communicate with others.
- Must have 2 or more years experience and comfort with working on roofs and at height with tools
- Must be able to comfortably lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work on roofs and in crawl spaces in varying weather including hot and cold temperatures.
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction techniques.
- Teamwork – able to establish collaborative working relationships with peers and supervisors.
- Basic computer competence and comfort with commonly used software, including internet and email.
- Must be able to effectively participate in online and in-person training.
- Demonstrated commitment to completing job tasks
- Code of Conduct – act accordingly as a guest at our customer’s home.
- Strong desire to work for a renewable energy company, and interest in developing professionally.
- OSHA 10 hour safety course
- Acquire or currently hold Maine Electrical Helper's License
