Responsible for rolling production materials in a precious metal facility. Main functions include rolling material to customer specifications, material handling, production documentation, maintaining equipment and various duties as assigned.
- Operate various rolling mills on the manufacturing floor based on business needs and customer specifications.
- Ensure material meets all product specifications listed on production documentation including thickness, finish, etc.
- Monitoring, cleaning and changing rolls as needed to maintain roll and material quality.
- Responsible for handling of production material and scrap in conjunction with Inventory control per GSM standard.

Various duties as assigned based on operator skill level:
- Material Finishing
- Cutting and flattening
- Cleaning material (Brush lines / hand scuffing)
- Annealing
- Assist in alternate departments as business needs require
- Forklift operation (certification required)
- Adhere to all safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Adherence to safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries
- This position operates in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures. Proper safety gear (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots) is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus.
- Experience, 1 or more years
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of basic shop math (trigonometry, fractions, Metric to Standard conversions, etc.)
- Knowledge in the use of measuring equipment such as calipers, height gages, etc.
- Basic understanding and comprehension of blueprints / engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
