We are seeking a highly skilled Revit and AutoCAD Designer/Drafter with a strong background in industrial facility design to join our engineering and project execution team. This role is critical to supporting the design, coordination, and documentation of complex systems for high-consequence infrastructure, including advanced nuclear microreactor projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure models and drawings are accurate, compliant, and optimized for construction and operation in a highly regulated environment.
· Develop and maintain precise 2D and 3D models in Revit and AutoCAD for industrial and nuclear facility layouts, P&IDs, mechanical systems, and structural details.
· Create detailed construction and fabrication drawings, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications, DOE/NRC standards, and NQA-1 requirements.
· Integrate models from multiple disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, structural) into coordinated BIM environments.
· Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve design conflicts and ensure constructability.
· Interface with external contractors, vendors, and fabricators to incorporate vendor drawings into master models.
· Support design reviews and configuration control processes for regulated project documentation.
· Ensure drawings adhere to company CAD/BIM standards, industry codes, and nuclear facility documentation protocols.
· Perform rigorous quality checks and maintain revision control in accordance with NQA-1 procedures.
· Assist with model-based clash detection and resolve discrepancies before construction phase.
· 3–5 years of professional experience using Revit and AutoCAD in an engineering or industrial project environment.
· Strong understanding of drafting standards, BIM workflows, and multi-disciplinary model coordination.
· Ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering drawings and technical specifications.
· Experience working within regulated industries (nuclear, energy, oil & gas, or similar).
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
· Familiarity with DOE and NRC documentation requirements.
· Experience with Autodesk Navisworks, Civil 3D, or Plant 3D.
· Knowledge of NQA-1 documentation practices and controlled drawing release processes.
· Understanding of industrial safety design considerations and hazard mitigation in facility layouts.
· Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
· Occasional travel for site visits and design coordination meetings.
· Ability to perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
