Wesdome Gold Mines is currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Remote Mucker to support underground operations by operating equipment to remove broken rock and maintain a clean and efficient work area. This is a key role in ensuring continuous ore and waste movement in the production cycle.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Operate remote-controlled and/or manually-operated scoop tram equipment in underground headings
- Remove broken rock from draw points, loading areas, and re-mucks
- Transport ore and waste material to designated dumping locations (ore passes, trucks, or backfills)
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and report mechanical issues
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Work closely with shift bosses, miners, and maintenance to ensure safe production targets are met
- Adhere to mine safety regulations and company policies at all times
- 5 years underground mining experience, preferably in hard rock mining
- Proficient in operating LHD equipment (manual and remote control)
- Common Core Modules (U0000–U0012) and specialty modules U0020, U0068A, U0068B are considered an asset
- Strong awareness of safety and hazard identification
- Ability to work in physically demanding, confined, and noisy underground conditions
- Comfortable working in a rotation-based camp environment
- Dayshift
- 10-hour shifts
- 10 days on 10 days off
