The Regulatory Reporting Manager at NV Energy is responsible for developing and retaining corporate knowledge related to regulations at both the state and federal events. This role involves managing the accurate and timely preparation of regulatory statements, adjustments, analyses and supporting testimony to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
The manager will oversee the accounting for regulatory assets and liabilities, as well as the completion of various state and FERC reporting requirements. In this position, the manager will be tasked with overseeing the preparation and review of documentation and schedules that support state and FERC general rate case filings, including statements, testimony, and management analyses.
The manager will also recommend strategies and objectives for rate case filings and serve as a witness on financial regulatory matters before th Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (PUCN)
Manage the accounting of regulatory assets and liabilities, including amortization and carry charge calculations.
Manage the preparation and review of documentation and schedules for state and FERC general rate case filings.
Recommend strategies and objectives for rate case filings.
Manage SOX Sections 302 and 404 compliance initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or related field.
6 years of related experience with 2 years of project management, team leadership, or supervisory experience
Demonstrate knowledge of utility regulatory theory and quantitative modeling.
Experience with various modeling, analytical, accounting, monitoring, or reporting software
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
