Job Overview
Structural Fab LLC is seeking a motivated and experienced Rebar Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in our rebar fabrication facility. This role is responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, maintaining safety compliance, and leading a team of shop employees to meet project demands. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to drive efficiency, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the rebar fabrication shop.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate shop production to meet project timelines.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate shop personnel to maximize productivity and performance.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, OSHA requirements, and company procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Review fabrication cut sheets and ensure accuracy in cutting, bending, and assembly.
- Track inventory, material usage, and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with production managers, estimators and field teams to ensure project needs are met.
- Maintain quality control standards to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

- Previous supervisory or management experience in a rebar fabrication shop or related construction industry.
- Strong understanding of rebar fabrication processes, equipment, and detailing.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to a safe working environment.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and rebar schedules.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (Excel, Outlook, and fabrication/production software preferred).
- Experience with automated fabrication equipment (shearlines, benders, etc.).
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or similar efficiency practices.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills a plus.
- Must be willing to work on the warehouse floor when needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
- Must have a driver’s license and clean driving record.
