The Railroad Commission of Texas has direct oversight of approximately 224,067 miles of intra-state pipeline. The Pipeline Safety Department in the Oversight and Safety Division is seeking a Compliance Analyst to perform routine to moderately complex compliance, technical, and professional administrative support in the Commission’s statewide Pipeline Safety Program. Work involves reviewing reports submitted through the Texas Damage Reporting Form (TDRF) online system, reviewing pipeline permit applications, composing violation correspondence; replying verbally and in writing to regulatory inquiries from the public and regulated industry; assisting with stakeholder educational outreach; establishing work goals, following guidelines; and prioritizing assignments to meet workload performance standards.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Pipeline Safety Support Manager, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Work Hours: Standard office hours for Commission employees are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our agency offers alternate schedules for employees, as long as it does not adversely affect operations and service levels, and standard hours of operation are maintained. Alternate work schedules may be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview process.
