How You Contribute To Our World
Under the General foreman – Surface Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the acquisition, development, and maintenance of skills for all Inuit employees in the surface services department. Your main tasks will be:
- Training Inuit employees on the operation of various equipment (road vehicles and construction machinery).
- Identifying and assessing the training needs of the surface services department.
- Designing or participating in the development of appropriate training, procedures, and work methods.
- Supporting and applying the company's health, safety, and environmental values and enforcing applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Hold a vocational diploma in construction equipment operation or a high school diploma, combined with a minimum of 10 years of experience operating road and construction equipment.
- Have experience in a training role with an Indigenous group.
- Demonstrate autonomy and leadership, as well as work planning and organizational skills.
- Hold a valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Bilingualism is required.
