Position Summary:

The Quote Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the CNC machine shop’s sales and production operations by preparing accurate and competitive quotations for custom machined parts and assemblies. This position requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, materials, and production workflows to ensure quotes reflect realistic costs, lead times, and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

The Quote Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the CNC machine shop’s sales and production operations by preparing accurate and competitive quotations for custom machined parts and assemblies. This position requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, materials, and production workflows to ensure quotes reflect realistic costs, lead times, and customer specifications.

Qualifications:

- Technical diploma or equivalent experience in machining, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering. - 2+ years of experience in quoting or estimating within a CNC machining or manufacturing environment.

- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, materials, and tolerances.

- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and interpreting GD&T.

- Excellent math, analytical, and communication skills.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple quotes simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g. MasterCam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).

- Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
