Job Description Summary
The Quality Operations Leader at GE Vernova will play a critical role in transforming quality-related data into actionable Operations that supports strategic decision-making across the enterprise. This position leads the collection, consolidation, and analysis of CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) and Major Customer Event data and works cross-functionally to integrate quality trends with business performance insights. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Strategy, FP&A and business Quality and Digital Technology teams to improve reporting processes, enable better forecasting, and drive alignment between quality and financial outcomes.
Job Description Key Responsibilities: CoPQ Analytics & Forecasting
Partner with FP&A and Quality to ensure accurate and timely collection, validation, and forecasting of CoPQ data across business segments. Consolidate historic, real-time, and projected data into standard formats that support enterprise-level reporting and quality decision-making. Operationalize a common CoPQ taxonomy across the enterprise.
Strategic Quality Insight Generation
Review and interpret long-term strategy and forecast documents to extract and track quality-related actions and trends. Translate these into measurable data streams, improvement opportunities, and portfolio-wide initiatives.
Data Visualization & Executive Reporting
Design and maintain data visualizations—such as waterfall charts—to link CoPQ with sales, earnings, and customer performance. Support executive leadership with dashboards, trends analysis, and storytelling that make quality impact visible and relevant.
Major Event Deep Dives
Review analyses of major quality events including root causes, and financial implications to identify systemic improvement opportunities. Collaborate with Quality Council and cross-functional teams to address gaps and drive systemic solutions.
Data Governance & Reporting Processes
Drive continuous improvement of data collection and reporting processes. Ensure data is consistently pulled from validated sources, including enterprise data lakes and ERP systems. Challenge current practices and propose simplifications and automation where applicable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a connector across Quality, Finance, Strategy, and IT functions. Build trust and alignment around data definitions, metrics, and improvement priorities. Help shift the culture from reactive data reporting to proactive quality intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Finance, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience working with business intelligence within a matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical acumen with the ability to interpret complex datasets and develop data-backed narratives.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power Point, Tableau, or equivalent visualization tools; experience with Python or SQL is a plus.
- Proven track record working with enterprise data systems, ERP platforms, or data lake environments
- Effective communicator with the ability to tailor insights for executive audiences

Compensation
The starting base pay range for this position is 140,000 usd to 170,000 usd. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, geographical location, education, and skill set
