Inspection of all types of precision machined parts and purchased parts, assemblies, tooling and fixtures. Works from and interpreting blueprints, technical specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Reads and understands documentation such as blueprints, mechanical assemblies, part list, procedures manuals, weldments, and test procedures.
•Performs receiving, in-process and final inspection, customer sorting and related quality assurance tasks to maintain quality standards with supervision.
•Records inspection results and initiates nonconformance reports for defective parts and materials.
•Other technical duties as required or as assigned by higher roles.
•Performs first article inspection, on a variety of valves, couplings, internal components, and raw materials.
•Reviews supplier documentation to verify compliance with purchase order requirements.
•Records inspection results and initiates nonconformance reports for defective parts and materials.
•Participates as the Quality representative in the Material Review Board.
•Develops internal audit checklists, performs audits, documents results, and reports findings to management.
•Assists less experienced personnel in the proper use of inspection devices.
•Assists the Inspector Lead in the calibration of measuring devices.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent time management skills.
•Must be able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive business-related materials.
•Must be able to work with people to accomplish assigned tasks.
•Must possess technical aptitude, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Qualifications:
•Required: High school diploma or GED.
•Preferred: Technical school certification in Mechanical Quality Control Techniques, or ASQ Certified Quality Inspector, or ASQ Certified Auditor.
•At least 4 years directly related inspection experience.
•Programming experience is a plus, but not required.
•Employee must be able to meet requirements for drug screen, background check, physical, and medical ability to perform essential duties of position.
•Regular onsite attendance during prescribed work hours and days, to include overtime and weekends.

Work Environment/Conditions
•This position will require working primarily indoors in a smoke-free office and manufacturing facility but may also require the employee to be outdoors on occasion.
•Limited travel will be required to support offsite personnel and business projects.
•Occasional assignments will require remote accessing and may include evening or weekend schedules.
•The noise level is usually moderate. Employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
