Pump Assembler – Hobbs, New Mexico

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Pump Assembler to join our growing team in Hobbs, New Mexico. This role is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting chemical injection pumps and related equipment used in oil and gas operations. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, takes pride in quality workmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble chemical injection pumps, drive systems, and related components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.

- Install seals, plungers, valves, fittings, and electrical components with precision.

- Perform leak tests, flow tests, and quality checks on completed assemblies.

- Maintain accurate build and test records in accordance with production standards.

- Operate hand tools, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and other shop equipment safely.

- Identify and report assembly or quality issues to the Production Supervisor.

- Support continuous improvement efforts for process efficiency and product quality.

- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED required.

- 1+ years of mechanical assembly or maintenance experience preferred (oilfield, pump, or industrial equipment background a plus).

- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

- Comfortable using standard and precision tools.

- Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems preferred.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
