TradeWind is seeking highly skilled Project Manager 3. The Project Manager 3 will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing project activities for assigned projects in support of the Client’s mission objectives. They will provide leadership and direction to project teams and/or group leaders to ensure the successful execution of all project-related activities. The Project Manager 3 monitors project performance against baseline cost and schedule, identifies deviations from plan, and implements effective corrective actions to maintain alignment with project objectives. They provide personnel oversight for project teams, including assignment of key project roles and approval of team appointments and actively participates in the development and approval of project budgets and schedules and contributes to division-level policy, planning, and strategic development.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project staff and technical teams to ensure cost, schedule, and performance goals are achieved.
- Oversee all phases of project lifecycle management, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies to develop, track, and report on project progress and financial performance.
- Identify and analyze project risks; develop and implement mitigation and corrective action plans as required.
- Provide accurate and timely project performance data, trend analysis, and variance reports to management and stakeholders.
- Support and lead cross-functional coordination between engineering, construction, project controls, and procurement functions.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable Laboratory policies, DOE Orders, and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) standards.
- Serve as Control Account Manager (CAM) where applicable, maintaining full responsibility for assigned scope, schedule, and budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Fifteen (15) or more years of progressive experience in two or more of the following areas: project management, engineering, construction, project controls, or procurement.
- Experience serving as a Control Account Manager (CAM) preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of EVMS principles, project planning and scheduling, and risk management.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential desirable..
- Advanced understanding of project management principles, practices, and tools, including EVMS processes and DOE O 413.3B requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects involving technical, operational, and administrative components.
- Expertise in project budgeting, cost control, estimating, forecasting, and performance measurement.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under minimal direction.
- Strong analytical capability and experience resolving complex project issues through creative, data-driven solutions.
Expected Salary Range: $175k - $225k / year (depending on experience)
