About This Job

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Closure Manager, the Project Controller will be responsible for the development and monitoring of compliance to the overall project schedule, scope and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Complete documentation required under Glencore Capital Management and Closure Frameworks, Project Management Standard Documentation includes preparation of monthly reporting, monthly progress presentations to the Closure Steering Committee, Capital Origination Requests, Capital Expenditure Requests, Documentation for stage-gating and Independent Peer Review processes, Life of Asset Closure Execution Costing and budgeting

•

Working with Owner’s project team and consultants, track project costs and progress according to project management governance requirements

•

Facilitate document control process and coordinate with Owner’s project team for timely review and sharing of information with consultants

•

Facilitate the change management process with project scope, costs and schedule

Qualifications:

•

Strong accounting and finance capabilities, including a professional accounting designation with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

•

A strong business orientation and customer focus with an ability to communicate to all levels of the business

•

Financial systems experience with Ellipse, Hyperion Enterprise or Hyperion Strategic Finance would be an asset

•

Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required

•

Good oral and written communication skills

Schedule: Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts OR Monday to Thursday with 10-hour shifts (Kidd Operations reserves the right to modify working schedules as necessary, in accordance with applicable notice requirements and labor regulations.)
