We are seeking a dependable part-time Production Associate to help us continue to grow our business and to establish your career goals. Some of our associates over time have advanced into other advanced positions and departments.
- Your main responsibilities will be to produce and assemble metal stampings for both use in automotive and lawn and garden products.
- Running machines daily such as manual assembly, robotic and spot welding, crimp assembly, balance, sorting, gaging, piercing, and packaging stations to produce various metal components and assemblies.
- Procedures include complying with OSHA and related company policies and practices.
- Report machine or part failures or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Must be able to complete most if not all tasks assigned on a daily basis.
- Perform visual checks for each part produced to ensure it meets quality specification
- Record production time, quantity, down time issues, scrap parts, and other items.
- Use established safety measures at all times
- Ensure a clean and orderly work area
- Follow current health requirements set forth by state and local authorities
- Must be flexible to complete non-routine production as directed by Supervisors and Management.
- Notify management concerning need for major repairs
- Ensure the equipment functions efficiently and that all procedures work correctly
- Load materials into specific cells, fixtures and or machines.
- Inspect product to ensure quality standards are being met
- Ability to read and understand work instructions for proper completion of assembly or configuration of part
- Work in a fast paced, team environment.
- Repetitive use of hands for stand and/or sit down operations
- Must be able to lift materials weighing an average of 30 lbs. on a regular basis or with assistance by other team members when needed
- Frequent lifting, bending, overhead work, carrying, pushing, or pulling required
- Must have reliable transportation, good attendance and a good attitude
- Work schedule starting times may vary: 1st shift is currently 7:00am – 12:00pm
- This position will require 5 hours per shift, not to exceed 25 hours per week
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred
- Previous Manufacturing experience helpful
- Starting wage on 1st shift is $18.55/hour
- Signing bonus
- Incremental increases are available after periodic reviews.
