Do you want to be part of a stable 97-year-old company? We are a manufacturing company, located in Akron/ Tallmadge area, seeking a Process Industrial Engineer.
The Process Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving new and existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality, and ensure safe and reliable production. This role focuses on optimizing product flow, resources, and equipment using engineering principles and data-driven methods.
- Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste.
- Design, implement, and standardize improved processes, layouts, and work methods.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, VSM).
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to drive process improvements.
- Support new product introductions and process changes from concept through implementation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, cost, and scrap.
- Ensure processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to operators and supervisors on new or improved processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or process engineering role (experience level may vary).- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience with process mapping, time studies, and data analysis.
- Proficient with 2D and 3D CAD systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Data-driven mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
