Location: Fairport, NY Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
When the shift starts, you’ll review work orders and blueprints, plan your setups, and move straight into machining precision parts and fixtures. Your morning may include turning and milling on manual equipment, followed by surface grinding to tight tolerances. After lunch, you might sharpen cutting tools, troubleshoot a fixture issue with Production, and collaborate with Engineering on a new tooling concept. Throughout the day, you’ll keep safety, quality, and continuous improvement at the forefront.

- Machine components and fixtures using lathes, mills, grinders, and other toolroom equipment
- Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings
- Maintain, sharpen, and repair tools to keep production running smoothly
- Partner with Engineering and Production to develop and refine new tooling
- Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of tool making or fixture-building experience
- Strong blueprint interpretation skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for the shift- 28 days PTO (vacation + holidays)
