Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plant Production Manager / Route Planner to oversee manufacturing operations and optimize supply chain logistics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production processes, planning routes, and ensuring continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and proficiency with ERP systems to ensure efficient plant performance and product quality.
- Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet operational goals and quality standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules using SAP, MRP, and ERP systems to optimize resource utilization.
- Manage supply chain operations including planning, inventory control, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles, process improvement strategies, and waste reduction techniques.
- Monitor manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality control, and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process optimization, capacity planning, and operational excellence projects.
- Oversee plant management functions including staffing, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Utilize supply chain analytics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for operational enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, MRP, ERP systems, and supply chain management tools.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies, process improvement, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and assembly processes.
- Ability to analyze supply chain data for effective planning and decision-making.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive operational excellence.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations in a plant environment.
