Rogers Group is currently seeking a Plant Operator in the Butler Sand, GA area. Butler Sand, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and be flexible to work weekends.
We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

Butler Sand is a surface sand mine seeking a
Night Shift Plant Operator/ Holefor our operation located in
Butler, GA.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to:
- Operate and perform hole and pit responsibilities
- Assist in sand mining process
- Barge/water cannon operations
- Be able to operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery
- Inspect and maintain conveyors, screens, and other equipment
- Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
- Properly follow all company policies and MSHA/ environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have a dedication to safe work practices at all times
- At least one year of sand mining experience!
- Experience welding and metal fabrication is a plus
- Able to perform safety and maintenance inspections
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.).
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Team player attitude
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
