Kootenay Industries is looking for an experienced Pipefitter/Bench fitter for day shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

- Must have experience reading and interpreting isometric drawings.

- Knowledge of material grades.

- Working with both stainless and carbon steel

- Capable of tacking fittings and pipe ranging from 1/2''-30'' OD.

- Ability to fit spools in the proper sequence for roll welding

- Flame cut holes for attachments on pipe wall

- Maintain a safe work environment

- Participate in safety and company programs

- Follow work practices and procedures

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIANCE

- Journeyman trade certificate

- 2+ years of experience in a fabrication shop required

- Working with stainless steel is an asset

- Use of a hand plasma

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
