We're looking for a reliable Press Operator to join our 2nd shift team (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). You’ll run high-speed stamping presses to produce precision metal parts, monitor quality and keep production moving. Prior experience in metal stamping or machine operation is a plus, but we’re willing to train motivated candidates.
International Ordnance Technologies (IOT) is a metal stamping and manufacturing company specializing in military-grade machine gun links and other defense-related hardware. With roots in metal stamping and a commitment to high-quality production, IOT operates advanced presses as well as, in house heat-treat and phosphate finishing processes to meet the demanding specifications of the military and defense industries.
- Operate punch presses and metal stamping equipment to manufacture precision components, primarily machine gun links and related hardware.
- Load and align raw materials in the die, ensuring proper placement for each cycle.
- Monitor press performance to maintain consistency in production and prevent defects.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major malfunctions to the tool room / maintenance team.
- Work with the Quality Department to address defects and improve production processes.
- Track production output and variances using tracking tools.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Crossover position would have additional / more diverse responsibilities.
- Experience in metal stamping or press operation preferred, especially in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical person preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and quality control processes.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure parts meet military-grade standards.
- Basic computer skills for tracking production data.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
