International Ordnance Tech., Inc. is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Phosphate Operator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for processing metal parts through our multi-stage phosphate line, ensuring each batch meets quality standards. This includes loading and unloading baskets or barrels, monitoring process tanks, recording data, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on time and according to specifications. If you have experience in metal finishing, chemical processing or working with coatings, we’d love to hear from you.
- Operate all stages of the phosphating process, including cleaning, coating, rinsing, and sealing
- Load and unload metal parts using baskets, barrels, dumpers or hoists
- Monitor and maintain chemical bath parameters (temp., pH, concentration)
- Perform preventative maintenance (cleaning tanks, checking equip., etc.)
- Document process checks and production results
- Perform visual inspections to ensure proper coverage and finish
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicate well with other employees and departments
- 1–2 years experience in metal finishing, chemical processing, manufacturing or coating operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow written instructions, record data, and perform basic measurements
- Physically capable of standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, working in a chemical and sometimes hot environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Experience with titrations
- Knowledge of MIL or ISO standards
- Forklift or overhead hoist experience
- Additional technical training in metal finishing, manufacturing or chemistry
- Familiarity with wet process safety and PPE (gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.)
- Available Shift Hours: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm or 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm
- Training Hours: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
