- Sort, pick up, and deliver mail in the building morning and afternoon;
- Assist with conference room set up as needed and stocking of supplies for meetings.
- Perform office administrative support work of considerable variety that requires independent judgment
- Edit and type documents
- Compile and type information for reports, spreadsheets and other documents
- Answer/screen telephone calls
- Appointments
- Answer questions requiring knowledge of District and departmental activities, rules, policies, and procedures; maintain records of appropriations and expenditures
- Maintain records and files as appropriate
- Perform data entry into Oracle, such as Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders, and create simple Excel spreadsheets with information provided by others, as needed for the Facilities Coordinator.
- In the absence of the Facilities Coordinator, perform as the first line of communication with other employees or service providers regarding facility issues
Perform a "walk through" of the facility looking for obvious issues, and stay with vendors or service providers that may need to be in the building, as needed.
May assist in budget preparation; may be required to lift incoming packages up to 50 pounds, requisition supplies and services; perform related work as required or as delegated by supervisor.
- Graduation from high school or equivalent, AND four (4) years of administrative support experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.
Considerable knowledge of office support methods, practices and equipment; good knowledge of Microsoft Office products; good knowledge of office management principles and practices; good knowledge of records retention; considerable skill in operating office equipment (50 NWPM); considerable skill in filing and maintaining complex records; considerable skill in preparing reports; ability to work independently without specific instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with District employees and the public.
- Graduation from high school or equivalent, AND four (4) years of administrative support and/or central files work.
- Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.
Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of a centralized records and filing system; good knowledge of modern office methods and procedures; skill in operating a variety of office equipment and related software; skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others; skill in maintaining records and preparing reports.
- Graduation from high school or equivalent, AND four (4) years of administrative support experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides.

Pursuant to MSD's "Substance Abuse Policy and Procedures," this position has been designated as non-safety sensitive and candidate must pass a Non-D.O.T. Drug Test for this position. Employees occupying this position are not subject to Federal (D.O.T.) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations.
Employees of MSD must have a "Meets Expectations" on their current performance review.
