As a member of the Sourcing Installed Base staff for the nuclear team, you will be an active contributor to operationalizing the sourcing business vision/strategy. You will work with other leaders to drive operational excellence across the sourcing organization, mobilizing change to achieve business results and build sustainable business improvements. In this individual contributor role, you will work cross-functionally in close partnership with GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear (GVH) fuel and services business teams to execute on key sourcing business deliverables. Deliverables include lean maturity for the function, SQDC improvements, capability building, risk mitigation and supply chain project execution.
- Drive Lean culture by working cross functionally to improve procurement process and lead sourcing’s installed base kaizen promotion office
- Partner with Lean Leader and cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement through problem solving, kaizen and standard work.
- Provide analytics and structure for operating reviews, including Monthly Operating Reviews and Daily Management. Run operating reviews as requested.
- Lead implementation of Daily Management and Problem Solving in the segment; Coach, facilitate, and drive maturity in the process and execution; facilitate kaizen events.
- Deliver process improvements that improve customer outcomes, KPIs and leadership behaviors; develop processes and standard work to reduce waste and reduce lead time of critical activities to improve on time performance
- Demonstrate influence on SQDC and financial performance of the segment; lead others to find creative solutions for complex problems.
- Create actionable analytics with data that helps the sourcing function proactively solve problems and create customer value. Evaluate quality of data, use internal and external resources.
- Lead supply chain risk assessment process and develop business case around actions to increase supply chain resilience.
- Build and sustain process and tools to track and execute supply chain project deliverables including support of new customer opportunities.
- Act as sourcing liaison in cross-functional project reviews and collaborate with functional leaders to execute strategies that support customer needs.
- Collaborate with project leadership team to prioritize actions and facilitate seamless connection with key stakeholders within sourcing organization, with focus on nuclear business installed base deliverables.
- Develop and manage roadmap to drive organizational improvements on key capabilities that align to the GEV Procurement Maturity Assessment.
- Gather lessons learned and best practices to build common toolkit for commodity management and fulfillment.
- Interface with the business leadership on issues of forecasting, planning, execution, strategy alignment.
- Drive process focused on sourcing strategic objectives and action plans, including kaizen roadmap.
- Interface with customers and regulators as required; ensure sourcing efforts fulfill key customer requirements
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned, including periodic visits to key suppliers to drive process improvement and/or mitigation plans.
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally college or university in a technical or business curriculum
- 7 years of professional or military experience in relevant discipline (i.e. sourcing, commercial processes, supply chain, finance, services, engineering, project management, lean)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time as required.
- MBA or Master’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering or other relevant degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Sourcing and supply chain management experience in a high technology and/or highly regulated industry
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and leadership skills
- Strong leader capable of working successfully in a matrix organization and as part of a cross-functional team to drive impactful results
- Interest in future business leadership opportunities. Prior managerial experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex situations and drive projects to completion, including cost and schedule control
- Strong computer, data visualization and data analytics skills, including Microsoft Suite, Tableau, Smartsheet, Oracle Enterprise Resources Planning System (ERP) systems
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or equivalent
- Experience working with customers, regulators, and suppliers in the nuclear business
The base pay range for this position is $108,000.00 - 145,100.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
