We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented NDT Technical Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) operations by assisting our seasoned Lead Inspector, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of NDT inspections. From corrosion surveys to turnaround projects, you’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge work.
- Assist NDT technicians with the setup, calibration, and operation of NDT equipment.
- Prepare test surfaces and apply consumables as required by specific NDT methods.
- Assist with data acquisition and recording of test results.
- Maintain accurate and complete NDT documentation.
- Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of NDT equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures related to NDT activities.
- No Inspection experience is required however, preference will be given to those with past oil field experience including Welding/Material Engineering Technology or NDT fundamental grads.
- Able to work up to 12-hours per day in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work out of town for 2-3 weeks at a time.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently or in a team environment.
- Quick learner with an aptitude for technology who is proficient with Microsoft word and Excel.
- A clean driver’s abstract and a strong safety mindset are essential.
- Good physical condition, able to work outside in all seasons and weather conditions.
