Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Mining Estimator to join our project team. You will be responsible for developing accurate, first-principles cost estimates for mining operations and construction projects. You will analyze geological data, labour requirements, equipment and scheduling needs to ensure our projects are financially viable and competitively bid.

Key Responsibilities

- Cost Estimation: Develop multi-discipline cost estimates (CapEx/OpEx) and construction schedules using first-principles calculations.

- Bid Management: Review tender documents, perform quantity take-offs from drawings, and prepare detailed basis of estimate reports.

- Planning: Establish site-specific criteria, including wage scales and person-hour productivity rates.

- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in design documents and provide innovative solutions to construction and pricing issues.

- Collaboration: Liaison with vendors for supplier quotes and work with project managers to monitor progress and issue cost reports.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Degree or diploma in Mining Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.

- Experience: 3–5+ years of estimating experience in mining, heavy civil, or underground construction.
