To provide engineering support to Midstream Operations and Commercial teams. Provides engineering analysis of operational problems and then identifies resolution or value-enhancing projects. Coordinates with the Integrity Management team on integrity inspections, assessments and risk mitigation projects/programs. Provides full range of engineering & technical support to the Commercial team for new project development and due diligence on acquisitions.

- Regularly interacts with control room, field operations leadership and field personnel to analyze operational problems, develop alternatives and recommend optimal solutions.
- Seeks and identifies opportunities to optimize systems, save costs and improve our operations and maximize operating performance & value.
- Provides initial design engineering, scope development, schedule and cost estimates for maintenance expense and/or capital jobs as well as growth capital projects.
- Coordinates and manages third party engineering designs for projects.
- Coordinates with project engineers and/or construction crews to ensure execution on desired scope of work.
- Works closely with the project manager or assumes the role of Project Manager for individual projects or programs as needed.
- Analyzes and optimizes natural gas processing plant recoveries/efficiencies.
- Participates or leads PHAs for processing facilities and is responsible for resolving or identifying projects to address identified issues.
- Performs hydraulic simulations of pressures and flow rates through pipelines transporting oil, NGLs or natural gas.
- Works in coordination with the commercial team in new growth project development, providing iterations and various options for initial feasibility designs & cost estimates
- Performs due diligence work on midstream assets proposed to be acquired by Harvest, including participating in data rooms, conducting field reviews and observations
- Meet with various local, state and federal agencies regarding assigned projects as needed
- Present information at our field monthly update meetings on overall company performance and trends
- Assist in incident response efforts if required

- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Five (5) years minimum Midstream oil and gas/process engineering experience.
- Three (3) years minimum Midstream process or project experience in a plant environment.
- Broad based engineering and operational knowledge with the ability to understand, lead efforts in or provide internal support for civil, electrical, mechanical and process control issues or designs.
- Familiar with PSM and process hazard analysis process and able to perform PHA’s for process facilities.
- Familiar with process simulation (Promax or equivalent) and hydraulic modeling software.
- Ability to generate heat & material balances for both existing and new process designs
- Ability to trouble-shoot operational issues at cryogenic gas processing plants and compressor stations.
- Ability to perform detailed hydraulic modeling for both gas and liquids without use of canned computer software.
- Ability to support operations team to maximize value generated from each asset.
- Ability to size relief valves and control valves for both gas and liquids
- Ability to generate conceptual and detailed cost estimates for projects up to $10 MM.
- Willing to travel 25% of the time
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from an accredited university
Responsibility for the operations and all costs associated with one, or more, of Harvest’s operating assets. The Operations Leader will be responsible to lead and coordinate with a cross-functional team of commercial, operations, engineering, construction, and corporate support functions (finance, HR, etc.) to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient services as well as unlock growth potential around the Company’s asset base.
- Directly responsible for operational performance, operations strategy development and planning, direction and coordination of all activities involving asset operations, which may include engineering, pipeline, field or plant construction and operations within a region.
- Oversee a diverse workgroup and skillset including engineering, field and plant operators, mechanics, measurement techs, corrosion, and I&E techs.
- Create KPIs to ensure operational success through maximizing throughput, minimizing risk while managing cost control, and effective workforce planning.
- Directing and coordinating both O&M and maintenance capital budgets and forecasts to provide business case for new or continuing operations, special projects, and growth initiatives, thereby maximizing productivity and ROI.
- Directing, planning, and controlling the continuous operation, maintenance, inspection, testing and improvement of Regional assets.
- Establishing and assuring compliance with all operations and maintenance policies, practices, and procedures to ensure operational excellence. Examples include but not limited to DOT OQ compliance, DOT 192 & 195, and OSHA 1910.
- Driving cost improvement through operational efficiencies via streamlined systems and processes, and timely and accurate data capture and documentation.
- Originate and/or support efforts to attract and retain customers on the asset base.
- Identify any gaps in execution of routine and project related work streams; collaborate to develop and execute on plans to close gaps efficiently.
- Supporting long-term strategic planning, determining the policies of the organization, allocating resources, and making decisions regarding organizational growth and diversification to accomplish the organization's vision.
- Working closely with engineering on the design, estimating, and management of maintenance projects and construction of new facilities.
- Assisting executive leadership with identification of opportunities for acquisition, and participating, monitoring, and coordinating due diligence.
- Creating a strong environment and culture of safety and attaining stretch metrics to meet compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines and requirements.
- Developing talent across the region and building a pipeline of future leaders.
- Ensuring the organization’s development and continuous improvement of technical and management capabilities/skills in direct reports, addressing individual development needs and performance issues, building an environment of high employee achievement, satisfaction, and morale.
- 10 years’ oil and gas midstream operations experience with increasing responsibilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, specifically the ability to think and act like an owner with proven P&L accountability.
- Sound decision-making ability (both data driven and behavioral) is vital.
- Proven ability to not only identify issues, obstacles or problems but develop timely and value-added solutions.
- Candidates will understand how to establish, maintain, and grow effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.

- This individual must have strong business acumen, demonstrating knowledge of relevant issues - customers, markets, products/services, suppliers, competition, technology trends, economic drivers and financial indicators.
- They must be well versed in finance and accounting and be able to tie everything they do both strategically and tactically to the overall success of the organization.
- Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- P.E. is beneficial but not a requirement.
