The position will be filled as a Meter Tester 1st year - Meter Repairman depending on qualifications and experience of the selected candidate
Install, maintain and test all instrument transformer rated meters.
Test, verify and troubleshoot all System tie points.
Install and monitor all load research equipment. Troubleshoot communications of remote metering.
Perform vector, load analysis and power factor tests on all metering installations.
Calculate meter constants on all types of installations.
Operate packaged meter and recorder software applications.
Prepare service orders, TRADE sheets and associated paperwork for transformer rated meters.
Distribution Line outage restoration, such as scouting and logistics.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a good safety record and possess a safe attitude.
Must have competent computer skills.
Must have competent Mathematics and Trigonometry skills
Knowledge of basic electric circuit analysis, vector I phase or relationship. Knowledge of meter terminology is mandatory.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Must be customer oriented.
Must be able to work in industrial and petrochemical plants.
Must be a self-starter, dependable, have the ability to plan and organize.
Salary and Classification will depend on knowledge and experience.
Associate Degree (technical or vo-tech) and/or 3 years Utility Metering Experience
Successful completion of the EEI CAST test.
